How much do you think our chapter budget for 2017 is?

a.        $24,000

b.        $33,000

c.        $46,000

d.        $61,000

June 30th marked the halfway point in our chapter’s 2017 fiscal year.  I thought that this might be a good time to share an update regarding our finances, and other key performance indicators (KPI) that the chapter Board of Directors keeps an eye on.

SEWI-ATD currently has an annual budget of roughly $33,000 – if you guessed (b) above, you were correct!  The good news is that our expenses and revenue are where we expected them to be at this point in the year, and are on-track for the full year.  A real bright spot that the board takes a lot of pride in, is that member renewals year-to-date are very strong.  Renewal rate is a KPI that tells us if we are providing good value for membership dues.  When members choose to reinvest their time and money in our chapter, it tells us that the professional development and networking opportunities we are offering are meeting your needs.

Budgeting and financial processes are highly transferable skills that can be applied to any job. If you are looking for an opportunity to learn more about our chapter and how we use financial information to shape our strategy and planning, let us know we’d be happy to get you involved.
