Matt Meuleners - President

Matt has more than 18 years of experience as a Talent Development professional. He is a leadership trainer who is known for his ability to drill into an organization’s challenges. As Executive Partner with FOCUS Training, Matt focuses on corporate leadership and new product development. His specialties are: Training program design and delivery, consulting on leadership development and training, development of corporate mentoring programs, training audits, presentation skills coaching.

Laura Chartier - Past President 

Laura transitioned to instructional design, eLearning design, and corporate training development after a long career in education. She loves taking on challenges, blazing new trails, and collaborating, especially as a utility player. Laura holds a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from National-Louis University, and graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee with a Bachelor of Science in Education. She also attended University of Wisconsin - Parkside where she majored in geology and earth sciences. Laura has numerous certifications in a variety of leadership, communication, and technology skills. In her previous role as VP of Communications, Laura was responsible for promoting the use of technology in our chapter to a higher level. Since joining SEWI-ATD, she has improved the quality and content of our newsletter and website. Laura currently works as an instructional designer at Northwestern Mutual.  Email Laura

Colin Hahn - President Elect

As Learning & Organizational Development Leader for Douglas Dynamics, Colin is developing an organizational development function from the ground up. He leads the leadership development initiative and assists in deploying the talent cycle, employee experience assessment, and learning analytics.

Colin is passionate about helping people master new skills and has built his career around helping organizations solve their talent development challenges. He has led talent initiatives that have saved millions of dollars and resulted in over 90% rates of behavioral change. He has over 10 years of experience in organizational development and talent development. He holds a Ph.D. and M.A. from Marquette University and earned his B.A. (Honors) from Gonzaga University.  Email Colin.

Genevieve M. Daniels - VP Finance

Genevieve’s motivation in work and life is to cultivate the gifts of individuals to build strong and inclusive communities. This desire for growth and improvement shows up in her visionary thinking, her systems approach to solving problems, and her drive for results.

She has held leadership roles in health care, global manufacturing, packaging, quality improvement and nonprofits, giving her a wide range of experiences in rapidly changing environments focused on increased efficiency and leading-edge practices.  Genevieve currently leads change and organizational effectiveness projects at American Family Insurance. 

Outside of her work, Genevieve’s energy is focused on her family and the community. She, along with her husband and three children, enjoy activities that create a more just and generous world. She is dedicated to her community, volunteering in a number of local school and church activities, including mentoring foster youth and facilitating community discussions. Whenever she can, Genevieve pursues her love of learning and knowledge, attending forums, music and art shows and pulling from her stack of “to read” books.  Email Genevieve.

Meica Hatters - VP Membership

Meica is passionate about helping people contribute to their organizations and brings eight years of experience in human resources, talent management, and adult education. As the Vice President - Talent Management with EDGE, she helps clients across industries equip their employees for success through the development and integration of aligned training solutions. Outside of the profession, Meica serves the community through teaching human resource management, business ethics, career development, and GED preparation courses.

Meica earned a Master of Arts in Human Resource Management and Organizational Leadership and Change from National University and Master of Science in Administrative Leadership and Adult and Continuing Education from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. Meica is certified in SLII, Everything DiSC, and the Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team.  Email Meica.

Sue DaBaco - Membership Chair

Sue DaBaco is an adjunct business professor at Alverno College. She holds a master’s in business administration, a certification in instructional design, and two certificates in Holocaust education through the Auschwitz Museum and Memorial in Poland. Sue's latest research focuses on neurobiology—how the brain works, how people are individually shaped through the power of their environment, and how we are deeply wired for human connection. 

Nikki Palmer-Quade - VP Sponsorship

Nikki is an executive coach and leadership development consultant with over 25 years of business experience. She has coached dynamic individual contributors, mid-level leaders, and C-suite executives to achieve their professional goals. Nikki also brings expertise in designing and delivering powerful leadership development courses. As a former executive, business co-owner and higher education faculty member, she brings first hand leadership experience and a passion for building rock star talent.

Nikki holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee and a Master’s degree in Human Resources from Marquette University. She holds SPHR certification and Wisconsin Technical College System business faculty certification. Nikki also achieved the Certificate of Mastery: Assessing Learning for College Credit from the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL). She is a member of International Coach Federation and has successfully completed LHH’s ICF Coach Certification program.  Email Nikki.

VP Communications - Vacant

The SEWI-ATD Board of Directors is currently seeking a VP of Communications to engage members and the community with chapter news and updates. We are also seeking Committee Chairs and volunteers to help with newsletters, social media posts, blog articles, and/or book reviews.  We value your input and need your communications expertise! Please contact Colin Hahn or any board member on this page if you are interested.

Cheryl Watt - VP Technology Services

Cheryl Watt has been working at the nexus of education, design, and technology for over 25 years. With a passion for creating world-class learning experiences through effective instructional design and learning technologies, Cheryl is a “moment maker” who intentionally crafts moments of insight and connection for learners so they can upskill, increase performance, and do their best work. A utility-player practitioner, Cheryl has served as an instructional designer, elearning developer, digital media creator, IT infrastructure analyst, and web designer in corporate, agency, and higher education environments.

She is currently completing her MS in Instructional Design and Technology at Full Sail University. She holds Bachelor degrees in English and Secondary Education from Boston College, an associate degree in Web Development, and certificate in graphic design from the New England School of Art and Design. Annette Caraulia - VP Professional Development

Annette is a leadership and organizational development leader with 19 years of experience in the healthcare, banking, automotive and manufacturing industries. She has significant strength in managing organizational wide change projects, leadership/executive development and coaching, leading teams and designing performance/talent management processes to drive results. She is skilled at aligning all work with corporate strategy/balance scorecards and an organization's mission/values. Annette is currently the Director of Organizational Development and Learning at Milwaukee Center for Independence. She is excited to plan learning and professional development events for SEWI-ATD in 2020.  Email Annette

Susan Keith - VP Community Relations

Susan's professional life has centered on facilitating adult learning. She spent over 20 years as a professional training facilitator, instructional designer, and subject matter expert, and is currently an adjunct faculty member in the School of Education at Alverno College. Susan is a self-proclaimed learning geek, developing this passion as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Philippines and Ecuador - supporting deaf and hearing-impaired adults via community outreach and education.

Susan's recent volunteer service includes editing the newsletter for the SEWI-ATD chapter, facilitating for the Girl Scouts - teaching outdoor skills, as well as contributing to organizations such as Girls on the Run. She strongly believes that volunteering is a pathway to give back to the community and support learning and development of others.

Susan achieved her CPLP certification in the AOE of Training Delivery last fall and holds a Master of Arts degree in Adult Education (Instructional Design) from Alverno College.  Email Susan.
