SEWI-ATD Job Posting Policy

The SEWI-ATD Chapter website provides a job posting service to businesses in Southeastern Wisconsin seeking individuals in the training and/or curriculum design field. 

Fee to post a job for 60 days is $75 for active SEWI-ATD members and $125 for non-members.

Children's Wisconsin is currently seeking a talented leader to join us as our Chief Learning Officer. The individual in this role is responsible for overseeing enterprise learning, change management, leadership and staff development, performance consultation and learning and development technologies across the system.  This executive leader will partner with line of business leads and embedded educators to advance clinical, professional, and organization development programs and services in support of our strategic plan. Areas of focus include foundational support for people and culture development, compliance and risk reduction, operational effectiveness, and business growth.  Additionally, this leader will serve as a strategic learning and organizational development expert to senior leaders on key organizational development and change strategies. 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree preferably in organizational development, education, business administration, human resources, or related field.
  • At least 15 years of direct or related experience in progressive learning and organizational development leadership roles including robust people and budget management responsibilities. Organizational context should include a matrix environment with multiple lines of business that require effective partnerships with embedded education/practice/operations leads. Experience in a pediatric health system and/or an academic medical center is a plus. 
  • At least 7 years performing people management responsibilities for employees which may include but are not limited to budgeting, employee engagement, recruitment, performance management and development.

Knowledge Skills, Abilities:

  • Strong business acumen, with ability to understand organization dynamics and navigate corporate cultures.
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and e-learning technologies.
  • Strong understanding of talent management frameworks, learning methodologies, and performance management systems, and the ability to apply that understanding to evolving strategies and programs.
  • In-depth knowledge of clinical practices and the needs of healthcare practitioners.
  • Proven record of identifying opportunities and delivering innovative solutions.
  • Experience in leading multiple project-based initiatives across complex organizations.

Essential Functions:

  • Develops and implements a comprehensive enterprise-wide learning strategy aligned with the organization’s strategic vision, ensuring learning and development initiatives foster a culture of continuous growth and innovation  
  • Oversees assessment of educational needs for CHHS staff, and the planning, curriculum development, implementation, and program evaluation to meet these needs.
  • Leads the design and execution of a transformative onboarding experience, accelerating time-to-productivity and reinforcing our mission, values and culture.   
  • Advances the system performance management framework to align individual and team goals with organizational priorities fostering a high-performance oriented culture.   
  • Advises on strategic change management needs. Implements leading change management practices in support of our leadership competencies and strategic plan.    
  • Serves as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on talent-related matters, providing expert guidance.
  • Drives a data-informed approach to learning needs and impact (effectiveness), continuously assessing program impact through analytics, stakeholder feedback, and industry trends to refine strategies and enhance organizational agility.
  • Creates innovative approaches to gather and analyze employee voice and engagement data to target organizational improvements and shape leadership growth initiatives. 
  • Partners with Digital Health to standardize custom and purchased health literate patient/family information and education for children and families.
  • Ensures enterprise-wide compliance with education and competency requirements, embedding regulatory and accreditation standards (eg. TJC, COAS, HIPAA, OSHA) into learning frameworks and maintaining accurate documentation to support organizational readiness.
