Delivering a great learning experience is challenging—but it's only the first step! Today's trainers and facilitators are expected to keep their participants engaged beyond the classroom so that the new skills get put into practice.

If you've ever wondered...

  • What else can I do to keep staff engaged?
  • How can I turn subject matter experts into effective facilitators?
  • Should I be using technology to supplement (or replace) our in-person training?
  • How can I make sure learning goes beyond the classroom?
...then this session is for you! You'll participate in a learning cafe to share best practices, tips, and challenges for keeping your participants engaged throughout their learning journey. Share your challenges and discussion topics with us to shape the conversation by emailing community@sewi-atd.org. If you are facilitate training sessions in-person, online, or in hybrid environments, you can't afford to miss this session!

This session will also be the launch for SEWI-ATD's new Training Delivery PDN. This session, and the PDN, will be co-facilitated by Jennifer Buchholtz, Andy Marris, and Susan Keith. Jennifer is the founder of Excel and Flourish. Andy is the SEWI-ATD Past President. Susan is the VP of Community Relations for SEWI-ATD. These three facilitators bring an amazing repertoire of experiences, skills, and insights on how to lead a training session.

Doors will open at 8:00am for registration, check-in, and networking. The main program will begin at 8:30am and will end at 10:00am. There will be time from 10:00-10:30am for additional conversations and networking.

This event supports several elements of the ATD Competency Model, including Training Delivery, Learning Technologies, and Evaluating Learning Impact.
