There are currently five distinct generations in the workforce and the values, unique perspectives, and experiences of each generational working style plays a role in the success of your organization. This session will allow for you to make connections to your own generation, determine what characteristics are true or not in relation to your working style, define key values and motivators for all generations in the workplace, so that you can determine how can your organization best leverage generational dynamics for success!

Program Outcomes:

·         Determine your generation in the workplace and the common habits and benefits in behavior of your group in comparison to others.

·         Have discussion about generational difference and similarities and what benefits each generation can bring to the larger working community.

·         Gain greater understanding of what are key values and motivators to increase productivity and engagement for all generations in the workforce.


Speaker Info: Alexis B., Outlaw, MSM, SHRM-CP

For the last 20 years, Outlaw has held positions focusing on the functions of Human Resources and Education (K-12 and Higher Ed). Outlaw's experience in executive-level recruitment, talent acquisition, diversity equity and inclusion, and employee incentive programming has helped shift the organizational culture of a variety of organizations.

Outlaw currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Business Administration and Human Resources at Mount Mary University. Prior to, Outlaw was the first Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Averno College. It has been a pleasure for Outlaw to be able to serve in all-women educational spaces and promote college to prospective students and families.

Outlaw serves as the College Relations Director for Wisconsin State SHRM Council, is Vice President of Membership for the Milwaukee Chapter of the National Association for African Americans in Human Resources (NAAAHR), teaches and mentors students to SHRM certification, is the Vice-President of Exfabula, and serves as the Board Secretary of Exploit No More. 

In her spare time, Outlaw enjoys watching sports (Go Milwaukee Bucks Go!..... Go Seattle Seahawks Go!), golf, cooking, hosting and MCing social events, all while spending time traveling with her eleven-year-old son Che (like Hey but with a C).
