ATD’s Employee Learning Week 2024 is December 2-6th. To celebrate, SEWI-ATD is hosting a virtual showcase of innovation featuring some of our members. Each presentation is approximately 15 minutes followed by a Q&A.

Johnson Financial Group's Values Program
Presenter: Stephanie Charon, Learning Experience Specialist

Johnson Financial Group re-defined their values at the beginning of the year as the 4 C's, Compassion, Customer, Consistency and Community. The goals were to make it simple for managers to facilitate team meetings, keep the message consistent, and create conversation within teams about the values. Stephanie used the Vyond platform to create short fun cartoons that virtually facilitated monthly meetings about each value. All managers had to do was to hit play/pause and keep the discussions moving. Feedback and participation were overwhelmingly positive. Employees liked the light-hearted approach and chance to discuss as a team. They are continuing to use this approach to get engagement around initiatives at JFG.

Kohl's Workshop Builder
Presenter: Matt Schmidt, Talent Development Designer

Matt will show us how the Workshop Builder can be used to help you research faster, identify compound skills, source engaging and sticky content, and creatively frame workshops for any skill development. All you need to do is provide the topic prompt and Workshop Builder will help you identify the models, frameworks, and experts related to your topic. It will also help generate open-ended reflection and discussion questions, find the unconventional wisdom, urgency for why learners should care, explain how to overcome barriers for why they might not care, and more.

Charter Manufacturing's On-the-Job Training Project
Presenter: Mark Allen, Talent Development Manager

This presentation will cover the journey and evolution of a successful on-the-job training project. Charter Manufacturing employees were engaged by digital training checklists and immersive experiences throughout the program. Mark will also demonstrate how he was also able to track training data with ease and how content developers used an AI tool to create standard operating procedures in half the time!
